How many hair follicles I need ?

Even with the high degree of male pattern alopecia(VII degree), there are 10 to 12 thousand follocular units left on the back of the head and behind the ears. Out of them 6000 to 8000 thousand units can be taken for transplantaion during one or severel procedures.

This amoumnt of follicular units si sufficiant of coverage of blad area of any size. Amount needed for acheivement of certain cosmetic effect in individual patient is being determined during face to face consult.

The result depend on the structure of hair(diameter, strengthness, colour etc) and number of follicular units. Patient can determine approxiamate number of grafts they need to archive good result according to the scheme given below.
